Comprehensive Eye Examination

A thorough examination of the eye and surrounding tissues including testing for glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic and hypertensive retinopathy and retinal detachment.

High Tech Testing

In addition to the comprehensive eye examinations provided, our patients will benefit from state-of-the-art technology

Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)

The OCT of the eye is a highly specialized scan that can provide 3D imaging of diseases beneath the retina.

Digital Retina Imaging

A specialized camera that images the inside of the eye to better diagnose and monitor conditions affecting the eye such as diabetes, high blood pressure and autoimmune disorders. Leaky vessels can be outlined using Fundus Fluorescein Angiography

Visual Field Testing

A test that measures how well the optic nerve is functioning and how well the signal your eye receives is transferred to the brain.  This test can help in the diagnosis and follow up of glaucoma, pituitary tumors as well as other brain disorders.

B-Scan Ultrasonography

B-scan ultrasonography is an important adjuvant for the clinical assessment of various ocular and orbital diseases. With understanding of the indications for ultrasonography and proper examination technique, one can gather a vast amount of information not possible with clinical examination alone.

Biometry

This is a test to measure the shape and size of the eye. It is commonly used to calculate the power of intraocular lens (IOL) implants required for cataract surgery. Biometry can be performed using either optical coherence interferometry or ultrasound technology.  It uses several different formulas to give the surgeon options as to IOL lens powers for each individual eye.

Corneal Pachymetry

A pachymeter is a medical device used to measure the thickness of the eye's cornea. It is used to perform corneal pachymetry for Keratoconus screening, LRI surgery and is useful in screening for patients suspected of developing glaucoma among other uses.

Yag and Green Laser

A Combination YAG/Green Laser is generally considered a multipurpose laser for use in treating cataracts and glaucoma.

Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT LASER)

SLT is a laser procedure used to treat glaucoma by reducing the pressure in the eye.
